It’s very nearly summer and if you’ve not yet got outdoors and active with your baby or toddler then the weather will very soon be tempting you out. The Met Office have cautiously stated that early June should see a return to ‘average’ temperatures and sunshine and that’s enough optimism for me!
Here at Baby Routes we have a brand new reason to get out and about (not that we need much of an excuse anyway). Britax have just launched their shiny new BOB outdoor stroller range and we are going to be trialling the Sport Utility model over the next few months. With its humongous off-road wheels it looks promising for my frequent cross-country walks and as it is also approved from running and skating, it looks like I am going to have to get jogging with Roo again to put it through its paces.
The stroller (or Bobby as she is already affectionately known) arrived last weekend and I’ve now got it assembled and ready to go and I will be keeping you posted on how Roo and I get on with it as we test it out on some new buggy walks in the coming weeks.
In the meantime if you are looking for inspiration to get you fit and active outdoors whilst using your stroller, the brand new Active Parents website is full of tips on everything from pushchair running technique and fitness challenges to expert interviews and stroller-friendly exercises to get you back into shape. It’s definitely worth a look – not least because yours truly will be featuring on there as a ‘test family’ very soon!
If you fancy a BOB of your own without splashing out you are in luck. To celebrate the launch of the Active Parents website, Britax are currently running a competition to win a stroller of your choice from the new range over on their Facebook page.
If you’ve got anything in particular you’d like me to test out whilst I’m trialling the stroller then do get in touch and I’ll make sure to include it in my test walks, runs and product review. Watch this space!
