Dinton Pastures Loop Walk

Lakeside view from trail at Dinton Pastures

Walk distance: 4.52km

Walk duration: 1 hour

Suitable for: Buggies and slings

Walk description

Dinton Pastures Country Park is a great place to go walks with a buggy. This loop walk is just one of several buggy friendly routes, with a leaflet with all walks on available from the cafe located next to the visitor’s car park. The trail is on rough paths which are suitable for most buggies when the ground is dry. A cross-country or 3 wheel buggy would be better suited to walking in very wet conditions as the wheels can pick up a bit of mud. Dinton is particularly recommended for meeting fellow walking parents and buggies for a walk and coffee and for wildfowl enthusiasts. Please note there is a fee for the car park but the walks are free!

Dinton’s walks are easily accessible from Reading, Twyford and surrounds and also makes a great mid-M4 motorway stop when travelling to and from London with little ones needing a leg stretch. Dinton has a good value cafe on site serving hot drinks and food and there are also several picnic spots along the walks. There is a good adventure playground for older children. Don’t forget your bread to feed the ducks!

Grand walk & cracking lunch at end of walk; note for other grand dads: do not try to keep up with daughters seeking to regain their trim figures!
