Walk description:
Starting from Spittal of Glenshee and following the tranquil and secluded Shee Water up to the Dalmunzie House Hotel through gorgeous countryside, this is a great low-level walk for those walking with pushchairs or those looking for winter walks with small children when the snow is down. The walk is on the driveway to the hotel itself so is paved and fairly level and pretty much flat the whole way.
The walk starts from just by the bridge over the burn at Spittal of Glenshee (on the road through the hamlet set-back from the main road). The driveway is clearly marked with a big metal gateway and sign for Dalmunzie House Hotel.
Walk up the driveway keeping Shee Water burn to your right-hand side and continue up the glen until the driveway passes over a small bridge over the burn. Dalmunzie House Hotel lies just beyond this and is the turning point for this walk. Retrace your steps enjoying a different view on the return walk.

Directions:
Although there is a bus (no. 71) from Blairgowrie to Spittal of Glenshee which takes around 50 minutes and runs twice a day, your own transport is the most reliable way of getting here for walking. If you’re planning on popping in for post-walk refreshments (hearty bar food & roaring fires on offer), there is plenty of parking available at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel. Alternatively, there is some limited off-road parking.
