Kent Walks

Sandwiched on the -south-eastern side of Britain between London and the channel crossing to France and Europe, Kent is host to some of Britain’s warmer and drier weather and its abundance of hops and orchards has given it the nickname of ‘the Garden of England’.

With its distinctive hop houses and romantic windmills, Kent makes for idyllic pastoral walking as well as offering seaside strolls and dramatic cliff-top walks above its famous White Cliffs.

Here are a selection of useful websites for walking in Kent as well as the Baby Routes tried and tested walks below.

  • Kent County Council has a walking section which you can filter by length, suitability and features. It also lists the country parks and other outdoor recreation areas.
